Meet the Team: Alberto Seco, Tech Squad Lead at inari

At inari, we know that great technology is only possible when there’s a strong, collaborative team behind it. That’s why our Meet The Team series is here — to introduce the people who power our innovation from the inside out.
This time, we’re spotlighting Alberto Seco, who brings over 20 years of experience in emerging technologies to our backend and DevOps operations. His career has spanned 3D platforms, AI infrastructure, and now, building tools and systems that keep our development process efficient and reliable.
Though insurtech was a new industry for him, the people-first culture at inari quickly won him over. In this interview, Alberto shares how he found his way to inari, what he enjoys most about working here, and why “staying curious” is the advice he swears by — no matter how much experience you have.
Let’s dive into his story!
Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you came to work at inari?
I have over 20 years of experience working with new technologies. My main expertise has been shaped through roles in two companies: T-Systems, where I worked at the Virtual Center of Barcelona (CRV) from 2005 to 2015, and Goldenspear, from 2015 to 2022. At T-Systems, I primarily focused on 3D technologies, while at Goldenspear, I worked with AI, with my main responsibility being to maintain infrastructure in a DevOps role. When Goldenspear closed in 2022, I found inari and joined the team in December of that year and haven’t looked back!
Tell us about your day-to-day role at inari and what areas of your job you most enjoy?
In my day-to-day at inari, I support all backend developers, manage the team, and develop features shared across our products. This includes upgrading libraries, frameworks, and other tools we use. What I enjoy most is collaborating with the team and ensuring that everything runs smoothly for the developers.
What attracted you to the technology/insurtech sector?
Before joining inari, I didn’t have experience in the insurtech sector. What initially attracted me was the welcoming and personable recruitment process. Since joining, I’ve come to enjoy working with the talented and collaborative team at inari.
What advice would you give to someone looking to start a career in your field?
Don’t limit yourself to one technology. Stay curious and open to learning new things. And always be kind to your colleagues.
What do you like to do in your free time outside of work?
With two kids, I don’t have much spare time, but when I do, I enjoy cycling. I also try to watch movies or TV.
What’s one surprising fact about you that most people at inari wouldn’t know?
That’s a tough one I’m an open book! I don’t really have any secrets.
