Meet the Team: Ana Martín, UX/UI Designer at inari

At inari, design goes far beyond aesthetics. It’s about creating intuitive, user-centered experiences that simplify complexity and make technology feel effortless. That’s exactly what Ana Martín, our UX/UI Designer, brings to every project.
Her path into design was anything but traditional. Starting in content and communication, she gradually discovered her passion for usability and digital experiences, eventually earning advanced degrees in Usability, Design, and UX Writing. In 2022, a former colleague invited her to join Inari, where she continues to blend creativity, logic, and empathy to improve how people interact with technology.
In this edition of Meet The Team, Ana shares her day-to-day as a designer, what excites her about transforming the insurtech space, and how curiosity and collaboration guide her work every day.
Let’s meet her! 👇
1. Can you tell me a bit about your background and how you came to work at Inari?
I came across the world of computing, websites, content, and design almost by chance, sometimes life takes you down unexpected paths. Over time, I learned and evolved professionally, shifting roles and discovering what I enjoyed most.
At first, I focused on content, and that’s how I began working directly with design teams. I loved the combination of creativity and structure. After the pandemic, I completed a master’s degree in Usability and Design and a postgraduate degree in UX Writing.
In 2022, Karina, with whom I had worked at Mango for three years, invited me to join Inari, and I’ve been part of the team ever since.
2. Tell me about your day-to-day role at Inari and what areas of your job you most enjoy.
A designer’s work usually goes through several stages, which in our case are always a team effort:
- Research: Understanding users’ needs and workflows is essential.
- Design and prototyping: We use Figma to visualize what the final product will look like and how it will work.
- Iteration: After the design phase, there are multiple rounds of testing, validation, and review involving different roles and perspectives.
What I enjoy most is the collaborative aspect. Every project is a chance to learn from others and create solutions that truly make a difference for users.
3. What attracted you to the technology/insurtech sector?
It’s a sector traditionally associated with bureaucracy, documentation, and lengthy processes, and that’s exactly why it’s so interesting. Design and user experience can have a huge impact here, simplifying workflows and making complex processes clearer, faster, and even enjoyable.
4. What advice would you give to someone looking to start a career in your field?
Solving usability problems and finding effective ways to improve user experience is deeply rewarding.
To do it well, stay curious, empathetic, and detail-oriented. Listen carefully to users, collaborate with your team, and never stop learning, because design is an ever-evolving process of discovery and improvement.
5. What do you like to do in your free time outside of work?
I love reading, and in recent years, I’ve also become a big fan of audiobooks. I try to find time every day to do some sport and stay active. Besides that, I enjoy traveling, good food, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
6. What’s one surprising fact about you that most people at Inari wouldn’t know?
I’m an open book! I think it’s fair to say that I don’t really have any secrets.
