Meet the Team: Regina Call, Product Owner at inari

inari’s product vision is shaped by people who understand both the technical side of software and the human side of problem-solving, and Regina, our Product Owner, embodies that balance perfectly.

With a background in computational linguistics, she began her career working closely with development teams, gradually taking on leadership roles that allowed her to define products rather than just support them. Her experience across different industries and tools has given her a broad perspective and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, including the world of insurtech.

In this edition of Meet The Team, Regina shares what her day-to-day looks like, what excites her about improving complex workflows, and why staying informed and curious is essential in product work.
She also reveals a surprising personal detail: before joining Inari, she spent time DJing techno music in public events.

Let’s get to know her!

1. Can you tell me a bit about your background and how you came to work at inari?

My connection to the software world has always been closely tied to artificial intelligence, since my academic background is in computational linguistics. For several years, I worked as a linguist within development teams, and over time I began taking on roles with more leadership responsibilities, eventually moving into the field of product definition. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across different sectors and with a variety of tools, which has given me a broad perspective and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, including the one I have now at inari.

2. Tell me about your day-to-day role at inari and what areas of your job you most enjoy.

In my day-to-day at inari, I focus mainly on analyzing improvement proposals and new features. A key part of my role is imagining how these ideas could be integrated into our platform to optimize workflows and improve efficiency for our clients. After this initial analysis, I define all the details the team (especially the development team) needs to work with a clear and well-structured specification. I’m also very involved in the development team’s daily work, supporting them whenever they need it. What I enjoy most is being part of almost the entire creation process: from the initial moment of analyzing and shaping an idea to seeing it become a tangible solution that our users actually use.

3. What attracted you to the technology/insurtech sector?

What attracted me to the tech sector, and insurtech in particular, is that it’s a relatively new field where there is still a great deal to do. There are many opportunities for improvement, both in processes and in tools. I’m especially motivated by the challenge of transforming an industry that still works in a very manual and analog way. That means not only developing effective solutions but also presenting them in a way that is appealing and truly convinces users that the change is worth it.

4. What advice would you give to someone looking to start a career in your field?

I’m not usually one to give advice, because I think everyone has their own path. But if I had to say something, I’d highlight two things: Stay up to date, the environment changes constantly, so it’s essential to stay informed. And cultivate a critical mindset, especially when new trends or technologies appear, so you can assess thoughtfully what actually brings value and what doesn’t.

5. What do you like to do in your free time outside of work?

I’m quite fond of classic and cultural activities: I really enjoy reading, theatre, cinema, and music, so I try to attend plays, films, or concerts whenever I can. Outside of that, although I don’t have much time at the moment, I’d say traveling and hiking.

6. What’s one surprising fact about you that most people at inari wouldn’t know?

I imagine most people don’t know that a few years ago I used to DJ, mostly techno, and I was lucky enough to play in public several times. Another thing not many people know: I’m a big fan of graphic novels.
