Meet the Team: Xavier Florit, Frontend Engineer at inari

At inari, we believe that technology is about more than code, it’s about creativity, curiosity, and passion. That’s exactly what Xavier Florit, one of ours Frontend Engineer, brings to the table.
After starting his career as an intern in a large company, Xavier quickly realized he needed a different environment; one where he could grow, feel challenged, and truly enjoy his work. When he joined inari, he knew right away he had found the right place.
In this edition of Meet The Team, Xavier talks about the joy of building new features from scratch, his curiosity for geek culture and gaming, and even a surprising creative side that his colleagues might not expect.
Let’s dive into his story!
1. Can you tell me a bit about your background and how you came to work at inari?
After graduating as an Application Developer, I started working as an intern at a large company. I quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit for me and that I needed a change. After a few months of searching and interviewing, I got hired at inari, and already in my first days, I knew this was exactly the kind of workplace I had been looking for.
2. Tell me about your day-to-day role at inari and what areas of your job you most enjoy?
My work here is mainly coding. I don’t usually have meetings outside my own team, so I focus on building what the product team asks for 🦄. Jokes aside, what I enjoy most is when I get to work on a new feature from the ground up and think about the “big picture.” And, of course, chatting with Nelo every day 😉.
3. What attracted you to the technology/insurtech sector?
Technology itself! I’ve always been curious about geek stuff: hardware, software, computers. I didn’t really know much about insurtech or the insurance world before. That part came with the job offer 😅.
4. What advice would you give to someone looking to start a career in your field?
It’s never too late! Tech is accessible, and there are many opportunities out there, so don’t be afraid. But it also requires personal effort, and you’ll need that if you want to change your career path in the future or reach a higher level.
5. What do you like to do in your free time outside of work?
I work out almost every day, and I also love to draw. Recently, I started a journey into 3D art and video game programming. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and going for walks.
6. What’s one surprising fact about you that most people at inari wouldn’t know?
I have a rapper alter ego… but I’m not going to say anything else 🤫.
